Pendleton

Forged from Native American partnerships in 1909 and known for their distinctive wool blankets and colorfully-patterned plaid shirts, Pendleton has long defined Pacific Northwest design. Portland designers who worked for Pendleton in the 1960s and 1970s — mostly on their advertising — enjoyed destination photoshoots and mingling with supermodels.
